About Amivox

With Amivox’s service, dozens of thousands of users all over around the world enjoy new and creative ways to remain in touch regardless of the distance that separates them. Amivox’s applications enable people to enjoy very cost efficient telephony, free instant messaging, social networking and other rich communication features accessible from mobile phones, fixed phones and computers.

Amivox was founded in 2007. Allegedly, we are as startup as it gets: a small team of outstanding individuals, who work hard and smart in pursue of innovative products that make a difference to people’s lives. Our first product was officially launched in April 2009.

Where does the name Amivox come from? It is the combination of two Latin words that encompass what we stand for: Amicus (friend) and Vox (voice). All of our services are designed to allow people to share their voice with those they care about, e.g., via recording and sending a voice message to the mobile phone of a friend who lives in a different continent, without being concerned about high communication cost.
